Another day, another successful workshop!

Thanks so much to all who came out for Make-up 101 with Jean-Marc Lafond.

Eight of you came out and all left looking like characters right off the stage.

We had such a great time working with all of you and – from what we hear – you had a great time learning!

Stay tuned for details about our next workshop – and in the meantime, check out some pics from the workshop!!

Join us for Make-up 101 on Sept. 11

White Rabbit Productions is proud to be offering the second in our 2010 Workshop Series – Make-up 101 with Jean-Marc Lafond!

Join us on Sept 11 from 1-5pm for the workshop, which costs $75 (including the cost of a starter make-up kit).

Workshop participants will learn how to modify the appearance of the facial structure using highlights and shadows. We’ll focus on identifying the different planes of the major facial areas: the forehead, nose, cheeks, mouth and eyes.

What a Fringe!

Jeffrey with our Jenny

The Fringe has come and gone – and White Rabbit Productions couldn’t be prouder of what we accomplished this year with The Chip.

Our fantastic creative team brought an insightful and inspiring performance to the stage and our first original play drew more than 400 viewers at Manitoba Theatre for Young People’s CanWest Performing Arts Centre.

Chelsea Rankin, Shawn Kowalke and Murray Farnell gripped our emotions with every show and our hard-working behind-the-scenes production crew made the remarkable performance possible.

We even won a Jenny!!!!

Thanks to all who came out to see our first attempt at a non-musical and also to all those who supported our efforts!

We look forward to developing new projects over the next few months and telling you just what we have on the go!

(Also – a great big MERDE to Artistic Director Jeffrey Kohut who is on Rainbow Stage with Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat!! Check him and the rest of the great cast out!)

WRP presents The Chip at Fringe!

White Rabbit is proud to present our first original play at this year’s Winnipeg Fringe (July 14-26)!

Created by a talented team of writers and actors, The Chip examines a world where nothing is secret and nothing is sacred …. and you can see it in just three short weeks!

Visit the Chip Event Page for more information on this great, thought-provoking show starring WRP faves Shawn Kowalke, Chelsea Rankin and Murray Farnell!

Moving out of the Neighbours-hood

Regrettably, the writers of Neighbours have terminated White Rabbit’s involvement in this very special project.

While we felt our company was the perfect fit to develop and ultimately bring the unique and inspiring work to fruition, we will not be doing any further work on the show we still hold near and dear to our hearts.

Curveballs like this are commonplace for small theatre groups and, while we would be remised to say we are not upset, we knew something like this was bound to happen as we progress into a larger, more established theatre company.

We are disappointed by this surprising turn of events, but are excited by the fact that we now have the opportunity to develop other interests and projects we were keeping on the backburner throughout the two years we spent developing Neighbours.

We wish the project the best of luck and look forward to bringing you – our supportive community – an incredible new project in the fall!

Stay tuned for details!
