White Rabbit Productions was founded in September 2005 as the Canadian Musical Theatre Development Group.

Initiated by local stage veterans Raymond Padua and Jeffrey Kohut, the not-for-profit organization originally aimed to create a safe haven for writers and performers to hone their craft and receive opportunities for expansion into other disciplines.

Over the course of three years, CMTDG acquired six members and mounted a series of original, locally-penned productions. And then it outgrew itself.

In early 2008, the CMTDG board decided to transform into a sexier, more artistic company – and out of that desire, White Rabbit Productions was born.

White Rabbit Productions is all about creativity, inspiration and interpretation – just like the white rabbit himself. We are a constantly evolving entity and aim to create, foster and develop opportunities for local artists – all the while producing our own art for Winnipeg to enjoy.

Now an eight-member group consisting of Raymond Padua, Jeffrey Kohut, Annette Kohut, Alana Penner, Simon Miron, Ken Perchuk, Ryan Schultz, Julie Horbal and Bernie Pastorin, White Rabbit’s vision is to be the place where creativity and passion collide to make theatrical magic.

We value independence, diversity and innovation – and we encourage the entirety of Winnipeg’s arts community to do the same.

We are White Rabbit Productions – and we can be seen all over Winnipeg.
